Mujeres De Asuncion Group

Based in Paraguay

Liz is an enterprising woman who, with determination, decided to open a grocery store from her home to get her three children ahead. She also works selling food and needs $2,850 to buy merchandise.

In the beginning her resources were limited, but when she joined the Mujeres de Asunción solidarity group her life took a significant turn. With the support she received she managed to open her own business without having to leave her house, which not only enabled her to be near her family, it also significantly improved her economy and strengthened her business.

This support was not only financial but also emotional, something crucial for her personal and professional growth.

Currently Liz is focused on restocking her store with products like meat, chicken, sugar, flour, and other products, using her current loan to guarantee that her business will continue to prosper.

Her biggest dream is to have a store of her own, a space where she can expand her grocery store and offer her customers a more complete experience.

Other members of the group work in pastry making, clothing sales, have a grocery store, and other businesses.

Najarun And Group

Based in India

Najarun is 48 years old and lives with her family of four in the Kishanganj district of West Bengal. Najarun and her husband work in the agricultural fields and take care of cultivation on the land. Together they make a monthly income of INR.25,000. This is not enough for them to sustain their family of four. Thus they want to expand the paddy cultivation, for which, they will need to purchase more seeds and fertilizer from the local market.

Najarun is joined by four other women in applying for a loan of INR.210,000 (2,500 USD). All women in the group are engaged in agribusiness and seek funding to invest in the expansion of their respective agribusinesses. They thank their lenders in advance.

This loan is facilitated by our Lending Partner, Milaap. Lending Partners are local organizations working in communities to vet borrowers, provide services, and administer loans on the ground.

This loan helps women living in financially underserved states in northeast India. Rural areas in India severely lack the infrastructure and resources needed to support entreprenurship. Milaap aims to extend financial services and credit to women, who are traditionally excluded from financing.

Solidariedade I Group

Based in Brazil

Maria, the first woman in the photo from right to left, is 69 years old, is single, and has a son. Seeking $6,250 to buy pants, blouses, skirts, shorts, and shoes for her store.

She started selling clothing to friends and family members in 2004, directly from her house, and with time she was able to open a thrift store for her sales. She dreamed of expanding her business and rented a few commercial spaces, but they didn't work out due to the low flow of customers. She hasn't given up on her business, though. Maria is currently trying to find a better place for her store, and her sales have grown.

With help from the loan, she will invest in buying pants, blouses, skirts, shorts, and shoes for her store.

The group would like to thank the investors for this opportunity.
